Fri 18th June - Day 63, Lairg to Loch Choire (17 miles)

Apparently I was about the 12th person this year doing LEJOG to have stayed at Lairg Caravan Park.

I had a lie in & only left at 07:50. Waterproofs on again as it was cloudy with showers.
Onto the forest tracks outside Lairg but there was no open access here and I had to climb over locked gates.

Leaving the forest & going into the hills you really notice the remoteness, the paths that are shown on the map are just like sheep/deer tracks & very little used, if at all.

It was starting to brighten up but still heavy showers, there was even hailstones again & it was tough going into the strong cold wind.
Over the hill & down to Loch Choire, I almost stepped on an adder, a live one this time!
I decided to call it a day when I reached the shore of the loch, after 17 miles, and have another early night.
