Sat 5th June - Day 50, A70 south of East Calder to South Queensferry (15 miles)

With only 15 miles to do today to S. Queensferry (and another bed, courtesy of Sally & Duncan) there was no need for an early start, so Shaun dropped me off at 9:20 before he went off to do some climbing.

It's not easy trying to find connecting paths in populated areas, I had to walk 4 miles of minor road to get to East Calder before I was able to take paths through Almondell Country Park & along Lin's Mill Aqueduct.
Then another 2 miles of minor & B roads to Newbridge where I could use the path on the dismantled railway line to take me to Kirkliston, Dalmeny & into S. Queensferry.

It's 42 miles to the next campsite at Crieff, I had been thinking to take 3 days but if I have a good day tomorrow and can get into the Ochills it will only need 1 wild camp. I don't mind pitching the tent on the hills, but I'm not keen on wild camping in built up areas.
