Thu 3rd June - Day 48, Innerleithen to Peebles (9 miles)

I'm glad I had a short day, it rained through the night and all morning so a lunchtime start was just right.

There were no footpaths shown on the map from Innerleithen to Peebles but I was able to walk along the Tweed for 3 miles before Iwas forced onto the A72 for a mile.

I got back down to the river at the golf club for another hours walk before I was back on the just on the outskirts of Peebles.

One of the two campsites here was on my route so there was no extra walking involved for a change, I posted of another batch of maps and logs before I got to the site at Rosetta and I had the tent pitched at 16:30.

It was just 9 miles today.
