KEEP GOING LAST LAP. I HAVE BEEN GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE A LARGE CHOCOLATE CAKE FOR THE 12th July!!!!!!!!! BRENDA
Spent a few holidays in Cromer and Sheringham when I was a teenager. I remember walking on Beeston (spelling) Bump, a cliff walk in Sheringham and finding a tiny frog sitting on a 3d bit (old money for you yound folk!). (by Beryl Cowie)

Coasting Round Britain

30th March 2013 to 12th July 2014
Gt Yarmouth to Sutton Br (61)
5376 out of 5630 miles completed

Log No 351. Fri 20th Jun 2014 - Mundesley to Weybourne, 16 miles (5376 miles walked)

The seafront at Overstrand
The weather appears to be improving slowly and I set off at 08.40 under a patchy sky, the wind was still coming from the north.

With no footpath shown along the clifftop I walked on the coast road for the first 5 miles to Overstrand.

The coastline from Overstrand
As I made my way to the seafront I met a group of about 20 walkers starting out for a short stroll and I stopped to chat for a bit.

The footpath to Cromer
It looked like I could walk along the beach for the next 2 miles to Cromer but there was a good footpath on the clifftop and there was even some small hill walking involved with the land rising to the dizzy height of 60m. Afters days of flat walking it would make a change to have some rise and fall to contend with.

Coming into Cromer
The weather had continued to improve and it was now nearly all sunshine.

Fishing for crabs seems to be the big thing here as I have been seeing lots of places with Cromer Crab on the menu boards.

The beach from Cromer
At the moment it always looks like it is high tide around here but there seemed to be enough sand showing to do some beach walking now.

Walking on the beach to East Runton
There were plenty of people on the beach and I was told you could walk the 4 miles to Sheringham along the beach and that it was high tide now.

I set off along the beach but I wasn't convinced about the tide and after half an hour, when I reached East Runton Gap, I thought it better to get back on the clifftop.

The coastline from East Runton Gap
There were plenty of people out walking but it's a long time since I have seen another backpacker, I think I have only seen one this year.

Looking down onto Sheringham I spotted a big Tesco and as I was needing supplies for 2 days I took a detour to get to it.

The seafront at Sheringham
The town seemed very busy but then I keep forgetting it's almost the height of summer. I don't know where the time has gone, it doesn't seem that long ago that I was battling with wind and rain.

The sea was still breaking against the sea wall so it was a good decision to comr off the beach.

The clifftop path from Sheringham
I've been in Norfolk for a few days and I've only now come across the Norfolk Coast Path along the clifftop.

I followed it for an hour to get to Weybourne where I was booked in at Foxhills Campsite for 2 nights, I arrived at 15.00 after an enjoyable 16 miles.
