Log No 174. Wed 30th Oct 2013 - 10th Nov, A planned break. (2659 miles walked)
A delay in one of the bus connections meant I didn't get to Aberdeen and on to Banchory to Fiona's until 7.30pm, the grandchildren were in or just going to bed but I had a few hours with them the next day before getting the ferry back to Orkney. It felt like no time at all, after doing odd jobs around the house abd squeezing in a game of bridge, before I was back on the ferry on Friday night.
While I was backpacking my weight had dropped by almost 3/4 of a stone and I needed the planned breaks to put some of it back on but since I have had the camper my weight has returned to normal.

I had planned to start walking today but there are no suitable buses on a Sunday, which is a pity as it is a beautiful day.
It's surprising how much the light has changed while I have been away, I don't think I'll be doing much walking after 4pm.
After making a more permanent repair to the rear light cluster on the camper (it was only held in place with a piece of string) I drove to Workinton to get stocked up with food and find a layby to camp for the night.
