Date: 14/06/2022 Westbury on Severn to Hughley

I didn't sleep too great last night, woke up in the middle of the night feeling sick with a sore stomach, I must have eaten too much last night or I was thinking too much about the next 2 days. It was to be a very short day on Wed, only 60 miles but Thursday would be 100 miles.
I eventually got up with indigestion and not looking forward to todays ride. However, it was another beautiful day and we set off at 8:45.
I have a very dry sore throat, although the weather has been good, I'm constantly breathing in cold air so today I was going to wear a mask, not unusual these days with Covid still on the go.

It was minor or B roads all the way through Mitcheldean, Fownhope, Withington, Bodenham Moor to Leominster where we met up with Rodney at 12:15 in the Aldi car park for some lunch. We had made good time on these roads and had covered 38 miles.

The second half was equally good, minor roads through Ludlow and Tugford, stopping for a photo of the Tower at Holdgate, and Stanton Long, Brockton and Easthope arriving at the campsite at Lower Hill Farm near Hughley for 4:30 pm, plenty of time to relax and get the logs done.

It was glorious sunshine with good views but too hot to be in the sun for long.

69 miles with 4600 ft of climbing in 5 hrs 40 mins, 12.3 mph
